March 4th Election
In 2023 Redondo Beach Voters passed a measure to adopt instant runoff voting. The City Council decided that ranked choice voting, a form of instant runoff voting, will be used for the first time on March 4, 2025. Instead of choosing just one candidate in each race, you will able to rank up to 6 candidates.
Ranked choice voting will be used to elect the Mayor, City Councilmembers from Districts 1, 2, and 4, and City Attorney. Ranked choice voting will NOT be used in elections for the Board of Education.
